TV time: House, Bones, Fringe [SPOILERS]

So finally got around to watching Monday's House.  Yet another season finally leaving me with the WTF! feeling.  I mean seriously.

HOUSE: Thanks to my husband I knew Lisa Edelstein was leaving the show.  I wasn't sure I could even get through the episode knowing that.  I knew there would have to be a big reason for Cuddy to leave the hospital and, yeah, I'm a House/Cuddy shipper.  Have been from the start.  House was one of the few shows were I actually wanted my couple to get together because I knew House would totally screw it up and it would be just as interesting as them dancing around each other.  I was not disappointed.

But the finale.  WTF!  I know House is usually a few steps shy of insanity.  There's a quote on my journal here: There's a fine line between genius and insanity.  That's House.  He definitely finally crossed the line after straddling it for years.  Even Wilson was ready to get out, apparently for good.  He actually called House on his drug issue and prescription forgery.  WTG Wilson.

The stupidest thing, though, was that Cuddy was coming around.  She seemed to have forgiven him of his previous idiocy and was willing to work things out to at least be friends again if he'd give some real effort.  She was obviously worried about him on a deep level.  And he, of course, acts like a complete idiot.  But the ending.  Again I say: WHAT THE FUCK!  He gets jealous seeing her have dinner with her sister and some guys so he drives a car into her house??????????  Like my husband said: her kid could have been in there.  Then what would he have done.  He didn't even know they weren't in the dining room any more.  That's attempted murder!  Holy crap he's lost it.

The looks on everyone's faces were priceless, though.  All 5 of them (Cuddy, her guests and Wilson) just stood there with gaping mouths but never said a word.  No screaming or asking questions just completely shocked into baffled silence.  And was that Wilson's car?  I assumed it was but I missed a small section right before they got to Cuddy's house.

WTF indeed.

But that brings me to next season... what the hell are they going to do?  Cuddy will be gone and, hell, I don't blame her.  House is insane and fixated on her.  She's fed up with his crap and I can see the hospital picking House over Cuddy if it came to that but then who will control House because Cuddy was only slightly successful.  That's what me and my husband thought would happen until we saw the finale.  Now I was thinking, since he's apparently left the country, that maybe he'll spend the season going around just diagnosing interesting people he meets because he sure as hell can't go home without being arrested.  He drove a car into a house!!!!

That might be some House fanfic I could write.  I usually stay away from writing for medical dramas because I could never get the technical stuff right and I'm not smart enough to write House or Bones (the characters) and make them sound authentic (Bones, especially).

Although it's been a couple weeks I had similar reactions to the finales of Fringe and Bones.

Fringe first.  I mean WTF!  All of a sudden Peter doesn't exist?  That whole episode was confusing as hell.  I remember looking over at my husband at the end and saying: did I just wander into an episode of LOST?  Because it sure felt like it.  Seriously.  But, at least with LOST I expected it, I wanted to be confused.  With Fringe I want to at least sort of understand what's going on but the last season just seemed to go over my head, lol.  Or maybe I didn't pay enough attention to the details.  So now what do they do if Peter never existed in the first place?  I'm not sure I can even come up with a reasonable scenario/explanation.

BONES:  Another mind-blowing finale.  Loved Angela having the baby.  All the sequences with her in labor and Hodgins trying not to panic but panicking anyway and then trying to solve the case from the hospital with Cam and Wendell in the lab... hilarious.  I honestly don't even remember the Booth and Brennan stuff until the very last scene which was the WTF! moment of the episode.  I didn't see that coming at all because I didn't know they slept together.  The other episode made it seem like they just shared the bed.  Maybe I missed something but my husband had read it the same way as I did so when she announced she was pregnant we were both like: WHAT THE HELL?!? WHEN DID THAT HAPPEN?

How the hell is that going to play into next season?  Unlike House I don't want Booth and Brennan to get together in any serious way.  Leave that to the very end of the series.  The sexual tension is what sells the show.  It's fun to watch them dance around each other even if I want to smack them both sometimes for being so frickin' obtuse when it comes to feelings... their own and each other's.  But a baby?  Sounds like a freaking soap opera.  Brennan so can't deal with a baby.  She's too... literal.  Booth would probably be over the moon.  Something bad will have to happen.  She'll lose the baby and that will either bring them together or, more likely, drive a wedge between them and the rest of the team.  That would be more dramatic.  That's another fanfic I could probably write.

And while my head's still reeling... bonus minor WTH moments on HIMYM and Big Bang Theory.

How I Met Your Mother: I wasn't really surprised with the wedding thing at the end of HIMYM.  I kind of figured it was Barney's wedding they were at every time they showed that scene of Marshall and Ted sitting in tuxes.  I just always thought he'd be marrying Robin.  I'm sure some people were shocked, though.  I just looked over at my husband and was like: see, told ya.

Big Bang Theory
: The whole thing on Big Bang with Penny sleeping with Raj was hilarious.  I knew that was going to happen with as much as they were drinking but whole scene was set up great and the "walk of shame" was the best.  What could be more shameful than walking from your ex-boyfriend's bedroom after sleeping with one of his best friends in his own bed?  Oh, I don't know, maybe having all of his friends standing around watching.  Poor Penny.

My head is still spinning from all these finales.  And I didn't even mention the tear-jerker that was the series finale of SGU.
