Well, glad I'm not the only one that doesn't see ship in it.
If only I wrote slash, I'm sure the shower scene would have been much hotter.
And it wasn't just John's comment about the end being shippy that bugged me (so, okay, I can see how someone might see ship in there if they're looking) it's that he accused me of doing it to please the shippers, lol.
Like I said in my complaint post I write Sam/Jack because I'm a Sam/Jack shipper, not for any other reason. I'm pretty sure it says that in my bio at ff.net and a glance at my own stories and the ones in my favorites would definitely scream S/J.
Anyway... I also had another review that requested an epilogue to the story. I actually had planned to write more for the ending so Jack could deal with everything he did and Daniel figures out more about the temple and the challenge/test that Jack got zapped with but didn't have time to add all that in. So I might actually write a tag to this story with that scene. Poor Jack is going to be apologizing forever for the things he did. His neighbors are all going to think he's crazy.
And I'm still giggling at the idea that there's an office in the Vatican dedicated to thinking about these situations. That reminds me. I was skimming through the beta tab at ff.net (out of boredom) and found a nun that writes Stargate fanfic. And apparently she's a Sam/Jack shipper. I've had several nuns as teachers in my 13 years at Catholic school and the whole concept just cracks me up for some reason.
