farscape

Um, yeah.  Just finished the last episode.  I think I died a little inside.  Talk about a freaking cliffhanger.  *mind esplodes*

Now waiting [very unpatiently] for the movie to arrive sometime this week.  In the meantime I will refrain from blabbering on about the random ending of the show to my husband who warned me that I would do exactly that (that coming from the man who still bitches about how they canceled Tru Calling mid-season just as it was getting interesting).

note to self: must make Farscape icons in the morning.

I was warned to order PKW along with the series DVDs because of the S4 cliffhanger. All my 'Scaper friends said that the year-long wait nearly killed them.

I can imagine. The best part of coming into a show after it's over is you can watch everything in one go.

Did that with Buffy, Angel and SG-1. And mostly with Lost (watched the first 4 seasons all in one month online before season 5 started).

Tru Calling.
*sniffs*

How long as that show been off the air and my husband still rants about it. I bought him the entire series on DVD for Christmas one year but he refuses to watch it because it makes him mad that it was canceled (he has this thing for Eliza Dushku).

But I guess I feel the same about Firefly which got shafted even worse than Tru Calling.

Dollhouse fan as well then?

Yeah. :/
I get varying levels of it myself depending on the show.
Firefly, yeah. Definitely.

[identity profile] jennickels.livejournal.com 2011-09-12 02:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, he liked Dollhouse until they announced it was canceled and then refused to watch the 2nd half of the 2nd season. I think he missed the best part of the show.

o__0 Wow. Yeah, definitely missed some of the best episodes. Especially that season 2 finale. It was epic! ♥

[identity profile] jennickels.livejournal.com 2011-09-12 02:29 pm (UTC)(link)
That finale was off the wall but so good. It was like watching an entirely different show. It was so good, though. I kept thinking they could make a spinoff that was entirely set in that world and I'd watch it. Right up until they killed Ballard.

What's up with Joss killing off characters? He's a master at it.

I tried to explain the end of the series to my husband but I swear he puts his fingers in his ears and goes, "lalalalalalala" and just won't hear it. I'm surprised he even watched Fox after that.

He also won't watch any Faith episodes of Buffy or Angel with me which he says has something to do with me drooling over David Boreanaz. Supposedly.

Definitely was. One of my fav eps. ♥

Joss is evil. And awesome. And more evil. And more awesome. It's a thing. *shrug* I love it. Even the evil.

Aw'kay. Wow. That's different.

Drooling over Angel? I'm sure you wouldn't do any such thing. :P

Ha, I remember shouting so loud at that finale that my brother ended up gagging me with a cushion to shut me up. I know you're gonna love PKW, and may I suggest queuing up SG-1's "200" sometime after it comes and you've seen it? It's a nice softener to the fact that Farscape is finished.

(I have no Farscape icons. Could you make me one while you're making some? Please? Pretty please? *puppy dog eyes*)

(Also: I am settled in my new house with internet. I'm here if you still need that beta. :) )

It was too late at night for me to yell but I was bouncing on the couch like a 4yo. The whole scene in the boat was spectacular.

I'm going to have to rewatch all of SG-1 seasons 9 and 10. I'm sure I'll appreciate them so much more now. But I'm definitely going to watch 200 again (of course that episode is just hilarious to begin with, one of my favorites).

All my icons are free to use for anyone that wants to snag them. If you have a request I'll see what I can do.

I LOVE THE BOAT SCENE IT IS PERFECTION. Except the part where they get crystalized.

WE'RE GONNA HAVE A BABY! FRELL YOU UNIVERSE!

heeeeeeeeee

[identity profile] jennickels.livejournal.com 2011-09-12 03:20 pm (UTC)(link)
I know, right. They get engaged, the baby is confirmed, life is good and BAM... they're gone. WTF universe, can't they catch one single break?

Can't wait to see PKW. Got confirmation from Amazon that they shipped this morning and should be here on Wednesday via USPS (which actually tends to be more reliable than UPS or FedEx for packages).

[identity profile] virkatjol.livejournal.com 2011-09-12 11:43 am (UTC)(link)
I really, really LOVE Bad Timing. But I had PKW to go right after too. LOL I love that Aeryn and John are just cohesive and supportive of each other in it. I love the right before the ending. and The "You and your timing." <3333333333

I just really, really love Farscape. PKW is my favorite ep. BuI can watch from Prayer to PKW over and over and over and not get tired of it. Mostly cause I ADORE Happy J/A.

[identity profile] jennickels.livejournal.com 2011-09-12 03:19 pm (UTC)(link)
LOL, his timing really did suck, didn't it. Their whole relationship was full of bad timing.

I think D'Argo getting all upset affected me worse than whatever it was that happened to John and Aeryn. That was just WTF!?! But D'Argo breaking down nearly tore my heart out. Warriors should not cry like that. :(

wantstohughim

I actually thrive on all the angsty parts of their relationship. The happy stuff is fun but I love it when they're fighting and everything is going to hell around them.

[identity profile] bluewillowtree.livejournal.com 2011-09-12 04:24 pm (UTC)(link)
I feel your pain! I remember the night they first showed Bad Timing and we all knew the series had been canceled (SciFi's stupidest decision ever, and that's saying a lot!). I just screamed. The wait till the movie came out nearly killed me.

I hope the movie arrives very soon and that you'll enjoy it!

[identity profile] jennickels.livejournal.com 2011-09-12 04:36 pm (UTC)(link)
I think Syfy ties Fox with bonehead cancellations. If they didn't still air shows I liked I'd stop watching both of them.

My husband actually hesitates to watch new shows on Fox because of their track record with canceling good ones without giving them a real chance.

[identity profile] bluewillowtree.livejournal.com 2011-09-12 09:40 pm (UTC)(link)
I agree with your husband about Fox. Every time they cancel one of my favorites, or move it to Friday nights (which always seems to lead to cancellation), I swear I'll never watch another one of their new shows again. But then a friend got us into Fringe, which is awesome, but recently got moved to Fridays, and now I'm really nervous about it. But I'm still hoping! I just wish they'd give up trying to get shows to succeed on Friday night. Yes, the X-Files did once upon a time, but that was the X-Files for goodness' sake. It's never going to happen again, so they should just let it go and show movies like they did when I was a kid, instead of dooming so many amazing shows to failure... /rant
