I just love this stage. Newborns are cute and cuddly but they get so demanding as they get bigger and then they hit the toddler stage and they get more independent and their personalities start to really develop. I LOVE having a toddler in the house. No matter how bad my day goes they always give me a smile.

Nora was a riot when she was a toddler being all precocious and everything. By 15 months (how old Jack is) she was speaking mostly in longer phrases and some complete sentences and by 18 months she could carry on a conversation and the stuff she said was just freaking hilarious.

Plus at this age they'll do just about anything for a laugh. In fact Jack started walking because it got a laugh out of us. He was balancing next to the couch and took a step away and we were laughing and cheering so he got up and tried two steps and we cheered more. Then he started taking 2-3 steps and then just purposefully falling which got us laughing so he did it more and more and he went from refusing to try to stand without holding something to walking across the room in a matter of an hour. A few days later he was walking every where in the house.

I wish I could keep him this age forever. He's just so cute. Just wish he'd sleep in some. 6:15am is way too early for me, lol.

[note to self: make some cute Jack-Jack icons]
