I've had several people ask me for more to the story. I'm trying to think of what else could happen to them while in their, uh, inebriated state. I mean they weren't really that bad off... yet.

I was thinking they could really start to lose it on the walk back to the gate. Daniel and Teal'c could have to tie them up to keep from jumping each other, lol. That would really set off the rumor mill when they got back.
