Or the dates as it may be.
I was working on the timeline for the epic marathon story I wrote. In one pivotal scene it is Jack's birthday. In the story it takes place on a Saturday.
I wanted to gets dates straight for when things were happening so I started from the first scene and jotted each day down. So far so good. Then I get to the scene for his birthday. According to the Stargate Wiki, Jack's birthday is October 20. The scene takes place in 2007. I look back to October 2007 to see how I'll have to fudge the story only to see that October 20, 2007 fell on a SATURDAY.
And the stars align and all is well with the world.
