So my friend/client released her cover preview on Twitter, so I guess I can let you guys see what I did.



This is what she finalized. I'm contracted to do the back, plus the fronts/backs/ of the other 3 books in the series, a rework of another cover I made for her a while ago, plus several unnamed project.

This is great!! I love the play on color - splashes of red against a grainy-type background gives it a sinister look, which goes perfectly with the title. :) Really, really nice!!!

Her original color scheme was black, white and red, but the title just worked so well like that, I had to use it again. I was glad she liked the blue tinting. The original was earthy colored which didn't look bad, but the red didn't pop as much.

She's all excited about it and posting it all over Facebook and Twitter. She liked my draft of the second cover, although I don't think it's as good as this one. It needs work, but I think I can fix it.
