I adore your colouring on the category set - the old photograph feel to it, very nice. "where I'd like to work" and 'negative space' are also great.

Thanks. I saw that cap of Porthos and just HAD to use it. He's so cute.

When we lived in Chicago the people a couple blocks away got a beagle puppy and I watched him grow up. I'd walk by his yard every day and pet him through the fence. All the kids knew him. His name was Miko. He'd always get excited when he saw me going to get the kids from school. I just kept thinking of Porthos. Makes me want a beagle and I don't even like dogs, lol.

I love how you manage to keep the negative space so evident in your icons and to get a charming athmosphere. I also love the style in icons such as the Tag set.

I have this thing for negative space. I've been scrapbooking for years and my designs are always simple with most of the page empty. It's my style. Breaking away from that is always hard for me.

I wish I could leave something empty in my works! I'm just the opposite: I need to fill everything with vivid colors. I can't help. Sometimes that is good, but more often it is not. :(

I like that everyone has their own eye for what they like. I tend to go for lots of negative space, muted colors and odd crops. Even in my scrapbooking.

I've been trying to do more bright colors lately. Otherwise all my icons would look the same, lol.

LOL! Mine are all bright, you'l find no b/w graphics unless required by a theme in a contest! I do like colors, but... yes. Either that is certainly my style or they look all the same.

It's good to have a style but it's also good to try new things and branch out. That's why I do challenges because otherwise my icons get boring. There's a lot of things I've done this last month that I never would have tried on my own.
