Your 'Meagan' sound very much like my 'Megan' she's in 5th grade as well, super smart and for the most part school work comes pretty easily (math is hardest subject)... as she get older some of it isn't as easy as it has always been and yeah, the motivation thing can be an issue. She wants the good grades, but is not to thrilled with the new 'got to work for it' part ;)
