I don't have a Blu-ray player either, but Claudia Black is the reason I'm going to get one. She's the main reason I bought the complete SG-1 & Farscape series DVDs.
We got our DVD player after a friend passed away and left it to us. :( Our TV is still one of those awful CRTs, and we canceled cable because at almost $50/month, standard cable wasn't worth it. I watch my DVDs mainly on my iMac or Mr. Campy's iBook.
