I got taken to task for using "vulva" in het porn because my beta thinks it's unsexy, so I changed it to her suggestion: mound. Vulva's used in F/F slash, but not as much as cunt, pussy, vag, slit etc. are used.
In M/M slash, even the "clinical" words anus, rectum, sphincter, perineum & prostate get play. I think it depends on the context and the skill of the writer. I love pushing the envelope by seeing if I can use a clinical word in a sexy way. Doesn't always work, which is why beta-readers are vital.
