The Jayne Hat

I am so bored. We're having a snow day today. My neighbor already did the sidewalks with our snow blower and I cleaned the car off. All that after making a big breakfast as a treat for the kids since they had no school.

We're going to go play in the snow after the baby gets up from her nap but until then I'm bored. So here's a picture. The other day I made this hat. It's called a Jayne hat. If you ever watched the show Firefly you'll know what I'm talking about. If not I suggest renting it. It was a good show. Joss Whedon is a genius, except when it comes to dealing with Fox (still haven't figured out why he would risk doing it again with his new show).

I love my Jayne hat. I wear it in the house a lot because it keeps my head toasty. I wore it while shoveling earlier. It worked good but wouldn't be practical in really windy conditions but for today--it was good. Now I have to make one for each of the kids. I started a 2nd one the other day but only got about 5 rows done. It'll take me another day to finish it (this one took about 5 or 6 hours). I have another sweater to finish and the needles I ordered from e-bay just came so I can work on it again--YAY!

I am so crafty, lol.
