Because I need a kick in the pants to finish one (or more) of these stories.  But I'm stuck.  If anyone wants to give me a kick on a particular one (or maybe beta) that would be appreciated.  I've been mostly working on the last one (12 Steps) because it's the newest one so it's freshest in my mind but it's turning into a rather long story with 3 couples dealing with stuff intertwined.  I might need a break from it soon.  I wrote a good 10 pages or so last night (that's handwritten...my notebook is almost full now).  There have also been requests for a sequel to "Last Chance" that I've been sorting out.  I've made a few notes of what I want to happen (it's mostly in my head right now).  I know what needs to happen in the story but haven't started writing it yet.  As always there is still the monster NaNo "novel" still unfinished (and unnamed).  I'll add that to the top of the list but it's already huge at 57k words and not even half done.  I haven't worked on it in months.

(unnamed NaNo project): Seven months ago SG-1 lost one of their own leaving a gaping hole on the team.  On a routine scouting mission Jack thinks he sees a ghost and sets off on a mission to bring back his missing team member no matter what the cost.

[excerpt] "Crap," Jack muttered as several Jaffa emerged, the rain bouncing off their armor. Daniel hadn't seen them and Jack was at the wrong angle. The slaves near the cave scattered, some heading back into the melee, others taking their chance and running for the road. They were mostly ignored by the new guards. They focused in on the instigator right away. "Teal'c," Jack yelled into his radio as he jumped down to the first switchback. He felt a twinge in his knee but ignored it, scrambling down another level as he forgoed the actual road in favor of sliding down the embankments.

"O'Neill," came the quick response.

"Daniel's in trouble. We got Jaffa coming out of the woodworks over here."

"Understood."

Jack felt his feet slipping under him and gave into the roll landing ungracefully on his back at the bottom of the last switchback. The slaves around him neither stopped to help nor paid him much attention at all. A few hopped over him in their eagerness to escape. He wasn't sure what Daniel had told them or where they were planning to go but he had other things to worry about at the moment. He figured they could take care of themselves for the time being.

A surge of escapees momentarily blocked Jack's view. When he finally pushed through them he watched in horror as a guard rounded on an unsuspecting Daniel.

"Daniel!" he screamed but his voice was lost in the whine of staff blasts.
