jennickels: (sg1: stargate)

My husband is watching something on the Science channel about time travel or something.  I was only half listening until they started talking about wormholes with pretty little traveling graphics that were reminiscent of Stargate.  But I almost fell out of my chair when their physics expert started explaining the theory of wormhole travel:

Imagine an apple... and a worm that burrows

I just cracked up laughing as soon as he said apple because I knew EXACTLY what he was going to say.  Complete with little hand motions.  All I could picture was that confused look on Jack's face.  My husband just gave me a strange look.  Normally he wouldn't even be watching a show like this.  He doesn't care for sci-fi much and sciency stuff goes over his head so I have no clue why he's watching it but I love this stuff.

Just saw the title of the show is called, "Through the Wormhole with Morgan Freeman".  Wonder if Freeman has any idea what he's talking about.
