Decided to tackle the garage today. I organized it last fall but over winter we just kept tossing more and more stuff out there into a big mess. It's only a 1 1/2 car garage but because our truck is so big we have to park it at an angle and it takes up most of the space limiting where I can put boxes. It was getting harder and harder to get to the truck, lol.
This is not a chore I hate. In fact I've been looking forward to some good weather, time and energy to get this done. Yeah, I'm weird. I love to organize. I can spend hours creating a database or spreadsheet and organizing information. Sometimes there is absolutely no point to it. I just do it for fun. In fact, later I plan to redo my spreadsheet that I use to keep track of my completed stories. I want one that's more organized and easier to add to.
So, yeah, garage is half way clean. Many spiders are now dead. Got myself covered in gross rust water ruining my favorite pair of jeans (sigh). Cleaned out the bottom of the mower... not sure how it was even working it was such a mess and that got me soaking wet. So decided to wet down the kid (Nora).
Now I just have to clear out the most important part (where I store stuff I actually need to get to, lol.). And sort through the kids summer clothes... pack up stuff for Goodwill, sweep out the mess, take out the trash. That's the part I hate. I like the organizing, hate the cleaning.
Had to take a break, though, because Jack needed a diaper change. And I need to get this all done in an hour before my husband gets home and wants to actually park in the garage.
