I started writing this before Father's Day but didn't get it finished until last week some time and FINALLY got it looked over for posting.  And, in this, I'm procrastinating from actually writing anything.

Original fic: Camp Out (Sarah/Tucker)

This was started as a response to challenge #13 at fictionland .  We just had to write for 10 minutes and post what we wrote.  Pretty simple.  At the time my oldest daughter, Meagan, was having a camp out in our backyard with her sister and two friends (4 kids in our HUGE 10 person tent... it fits 3 queen sized mattress with room to move around, lol).  This came easily after spending 30 minutes putting the tent together.  At least it's getting some use, I guess (the kids have slept out there almost every night since then).

30 Days of Fanfic Writing Meme (day 14)

14 – Ratings – how high are you comfortable with going? Have you ever written higher? If you're comfortable with NC-17, have you ever been shocked by finding that the story you're writing is G-rated instead?

So far the highest I've gone is a solid R for violent imagery, torture, violence towards children and implications of rape.  And I had issues writing that.  I love reading the real raw, gritty stuff with tons of warnings but I have major issues actually writing it.  I'm working on slowly broadening that but I don't think I'll ever get into NC-17.  At least not the smut kind.  I just don't write sex scenes.  I'm the kind of writer that glosses over it... fade to black and pick up the next morning.  I've dipped my toe in slightly writing a little more descriptive seduction scenes but never full on sex.  I just couldn't do it justice.  I still giggle when I hear the word penis.  *snort*  I swear I'm an adult.
