friendathon update

As of like 1:15am this morning I am officially D-O-N-E done writing my story.  I wrote like a madwoman for many hours last night.  Eighteen pages later I wrote the ending line.  There was another scene I wanted to add but the story is already so freaking long I decided to hold off and write it as a little add-on later.

Now I just have to get busy typing.  Lots and lots of typing.  Eighteen handwritten pages is about 9 or so typed pages. Oy, so much typing.  Plus I have another story to type up and a meta.  Not to mention I still have to edit.  Hopefully this will all be done with tomorrow.

On another, less thrilling, note.  My userpic add-on is expiring in 5 days.  My paid account still has another month thanks to all the extra weeks LJ gave out.  I have $130 in my paypal.  Not sure if I want to go all out and buy the renewable 12 month package with the max userpics (last time I did a one time 6 months with 140 userpics because we were struggling just to feed ourselves, wasn't sure there would always be that money).  By this time next year our finances should be nice and stable (barring any unfortunate circumstances) so I'll be able to afford it.  It's just I was planning on using my measly paypal money to buy some DVDs.  I was thinking of getting Farscape.  Or maybe the last 2 seasons of Atlantis that I'm still missing (especially since I haven't actually seen most of those episodes yet since Syfy never saw fit to actually show them in or order or continuously or in any form that made any sense at all).

Hmmm.  Decisions, decisions.  I might be able to afford both the full LJ package and Farscape but that would leave me no money in paypal and that's also our emergency grocery money when stuff goes to hell and the checking account drains empty (happens a lot, actually).  My husband got mad when he saw I transferred $100 last month but I reminded him of all the time that extra money came in handy when we were 5 days from payday and there was no food in the house (by then the savings account is depleted and we don't have credit cards).

I'll have to think about it while I'm typing.

Stargateland needs you

That's right, you heard me.  I'm recruiting (again).  See, stargateland  lost a bunch of people recently leaving the teams very unbalanced.  I'm on Team Universe and we are 6 short compared to Team Atlantis (who has won every single challenge this phase I think).  It's becoming pointless but we want to make it better so come on over and have some fun.  Lots of different challenges, only participate in the ones you want (at least 1 every two weeks).  SGU wants you but you'll be put on whatever team needs you.
