scrapbook pages: my mom

I used to do a lot of digital scrapbooking.  It's yet another hobby I've basically given up on because I can't concentrate with all the chaos around me (writing seems to be going the same way).

These are some of the pages I made of my mom through the years.  In honor of her birthday which is November 27 (she would have been 63 this year).

My mom when she was about 4.  It's one of the very few childhood photos we have of her.
[ignore the dates in the corner...I was really tired when I made the page and wrote the actual date in 2006, not the day she died in 2000, lol...that's why you shouldn't scrap while tired.]

scrapbook pages: me

Man, I forgot how much I miss scrapbooking.  It's just too time consuming.  Mostly because all of my scrapbook supplies aren't loaded into PSE so they aren't really useable.  I need them in the organizer and it takes many, many days to load and organize them all (I mean the last time I had to work for 8 hours a day every day for over a week to get them all together).  Sigh.

Here's some pages I did of me when I was little.  I did very few pages of myself, they're all about the kids and since I stopped scrapping in 2009 (only did a couple in 2010) I have none of Jack at all.  :(

this page says it all

Was looking through my scrapbook pages and this one page just says it all about Meagan and the problems we're having with her homework.

It was true back in 2nd grade just as it is in 6th grade.
Things don't really change much.

Oh, and tonight Owen was doing math just for fun.  Or to tick Meagan off, one or the other.  I guess they're working on multiplying larger numbers so he was making up math problems to test himself.  For fun.  Meagan was mad because she can't even remember her multiplication tables and he's reciting them from memory and doing the math in his head (2 digit numbers multiplied by 1 digit number).  She had to write it down on paper to figure it out.  It's funny how different they are.  Reading came naturally to Meagan, language arts are a snap.  Anything that has to do with reading she breezes through but she just doesn't get match.  Owen, on the other hand never grasped reading.  He could barely read at a low 1st grade level when he started 3rd grade last year (he's mostly caught up to his grade level now) and because of that he's struggled in just about every topic, dislikes reading and HATES to write.  But math has always come easily to him.  He's been known to help Meagan with her math and he's 2 grades behind her.
