UPDATE:
I decided to delete some cookies and try to login with my shiny new password and, amazingly it worked. I'm still pissed, though. How many people have fallen for facebook's McAfee scam?

I'm so pissed right now.

Just a few minutes ago I got on facebook.  I noticed I had 5 alerts so I went to check out who said what about the pictures I posted the other day.  I go to the first one and see my brother and my husband's cousin commented.  I backed out of the picture and all of a sudden I was logged out.  WTF?

So I go to log back in but I get this instead of seeing my facebook:

It looks like you downloaded software that is affecting your Facebook account and showing you unauthorized ads. It's common for people to be tricked into running programs that offer features that aren't available on Facebook, such as adding custom themes or seeing who has viewed your profile.

What is Adware?

This software will show you spammy ads that aren't approved by Facebook. They can also introduce security vulnerabilities, slow down your computer, and clutter up your news feed with ads so that you end up missing content from your friends.

If you would rather continue using this software, you may stop this process by clicking on "Log Out" in the upper right hand corner. Note that you won't be able to use Facebook from the computer where this software is installed.

I have NO idea what they are talking about. I didn't do anything in the 3 seconds it took me to look at the picture and see the comments. There is nothing downloaded on our computer. My husband's account works just fine from it. Apparently I got hacked and then disabled. Grrr.

So I'm supposed to "secure" my account or just not access it from this computer any more (um, it's our only computer). When I press "secure account" I get ONE option:

We're pleased to offer McAfee Scan and Repair to you at no charge. If any infected files are found, McAfee Scan and Repair can remove them for you automatically. If you prefer, you can also remove them yourself.

By clicking this button, you are agreeing to the McAfee Scan and Repair terms of service.

Again WHAT THE FUCK!! What a scam. I am not downloading McAfee just to fix Facebook. I have Norton on my computer and it runs just fine and says I have no spyware or malware or any other kind of ware. I just did a scan. If all facebook wanted was for a scan to be done then that should have taken care of it. But that's not what they want. They want you to install McAfee and sign up for the "free" trial that will then automatically start charging you when the free period is up. No thanks.

So, there's no way to log back into my account.
