hot, hot, hot

I was at Shari's this afternoon so I could get some writing done because it's just too hot at home.

My weather app takes it's temperatures from somewhere on Main Street in our town (about 2 miles from my house). While I was out it said it was 104F with a heat index of 107. My other app said it was 94, but it always seems low. The monitor might be in the shade or in the hills or something. When I left Shari's the car themometer said it was 99F. When I got home it said 97. Someone online posted a picture of their car themometer and it said 101.

So I'm going to average it all out and say, it's about 100 degrees out right now.

And my fan broke. I'm so hot and sticky right now.

I wish we'd had the money and gas to head to the coast. It's like 75 there right now which means it's warm enough to enjoy the water.

My friend released her book yesterday. This is the box that came in the mail for her. Everyone was complimenting her on how great they look. It was kind of surreal. There are books for sale with a cover I designed.



This is the cover for the next book in the series. I think it needs a little more work, but it's too freaking hot to worry about it right now. It doesn't come out until the spring anyway.
