Student of the Month
12 Jan 2006 09:26 pmMeagan came home from school today and told me how she got to talk to Mr. Stone (the vice principal) and had her picture taken. I asked her why she had her picture taken and she didn't know, except that she had the prettiest shirt on of all the girls. She's too funny sometimes.
In her bookbag there was a manilla envelope with her name on it. I was shocked to find inside that Meagan had gotten Student of the Month. She got a certificate, lunch with Mr. Stone and her name will be in the paper. I can't believe it. I am just bursting with pride.
One of the notes that came with it said that each person would be notified the day before that they were getting an award either by phone call or e-mail (we got neither) so Meagan went to school without even getting her hair brushed (long story). Luckily she picked a nice shirt to wear. They pick one student from each homeroom that has been in the green (no misbehaving) for a whole month and has all A and B grades and is a model student. Meagan says she never talks in school and is always good. The teacher always sends notes home saying how well behaved she is.
I am just so proud. We are going to get a frame for her certificate.
Wow. Student of the Month.
