TV show time changes
28 Jan 2006 11:57 pmIt really irks me to no end when the powers that be decide to change the TV lineup. I haven't really watched a lot of prime time TV in the last few years (mostly because I hate reality shows and that is all that seemed to be on). But this year I have found some great shows to get into and had a nice schedule that rearely conflicted with dh's TV veiwing (namely wrestling on Mondays and Fridays).
Mondays we watched King of Queens and the other shows that follow it (I had never watched any of them but dh must have started watching at work--I'm starting to get into them). Then dh watches some of wrestling before he falls asleep.
Tuesdays were my day. I watched Bones and House. Dh also likes Bones but usually still hangs out on the computer and only listens while I watch.
Wednesdays were also mine with That 70s Show at 8 and Veronica Mars at 9.
Thursdays we would kind of find whatever to watch. Dh used to watch wrestling but they moved that to Fridays.
On Fridays dh watches some of his wrestling and tries to stay awake for Numbers at 10. I have gotten hooked on that show and now watch it each week (along with a House repeat on USA afterwards).
Now the programming shuffle starts. That 70s show moved to Thursday which isn't bad since we really didn't watch anything that day. But Bones moved to Wed at 9 which greatly conflicts with my Veronica Mars viewing. Luckily here in PA we get to watch the new episode of Veronica reaired on Sundays at 7. But I still hate to miss the original airing. But I guess I'm lucky that I get to watch it at all.
I'll be glad when American Idol goes to it's normal schedule so I can go back to watching House. Idol is the stupidst show out there. Most reality shows are. At least the ones involving contests of some sort. I kind of enjoy the ones they have on A&E and other cable channels. Like Airline (which, of course, we love because it is about SW Airlines where dh works and he gets to see people he worked with in Chicago all the time). Growing up Gotti is always good for a laugh and I sometimes watch Miami Ink. I like the shows that are more like documentaries and just follow people around to see what they are doing. Right now I'm watching Animal Cops Houston which is really a "Cops" style reality show.
I guess I'm done ranting about TV for now. I'll get used to the new schedule eventually. When House is back on I will pretty much have something to watch each day. NASCAR will be starting soon giving me something to watch Sunday afternoons until Veronica is on.
