I might night finish all 15 stories before the end of the month but I'm officially caught up now.  WOW!

Last night I holed up in my room while the kids were showering (don't even want to get involved in that...let hubby deal with it).  I finished up story #2 and knew exactly what I wanted to write for story #3 so went at it.  It got later and later, the kids had long since gone to bed and hubby was zonked out on the sofa.  There was nothing else to do but write.  So I finished #3 and blew through #4 when I realized what I wanted to do with the next story.  And then I looked at the clock and back at my notebook and back at the clock and decided to start #5 since I had sudden inspiration on how it would start.  Now I have a firm beginning to that one and I'm all caught up and on target for finishing the challenge if I can keep up this pace.  Which I doubt I can.  I did figure out that some of the stories will be long and others are going to be short and sweet.  That's helping me stay motivated.

Plus all this is in my notebook.  I haven't typed any of it up yet and it's almost filled the entire notebook.  I also ran 2 pens out in the last 3 days writing this.  I'm going to try and type up story #1 today so I can do some editing and post it tomorrow.  It got pretty long so I'm not sure how much I'll get done.

Doesn't help that I'm sore from our hike yesterday (my calves are screaming but it's a good scream, lol) and I caught a freaking cold while we were out.  My husband thinks its from the change in temperature around the falls.  I always get sick when the temperature changes drastically one way or the other.  I twas really warm out yesterday (even for our area) but it was like 15 degrees cooler around the falls...to the point where we were shivering in our sweatshirts and our fingers were freezing.  Jack was turning a little blue so we didn't stay around them long.  But once you got higher, away from the actual water, it warmed right back up and with hiking I got all sweaty and was having trouble breathing from the effort.  Then I walked back down and stopped to take some pics and rest right at the falls.  It was freezing.  By the time we got home my throat was scratchy.  There was also all this tree pollen flying around.  Damn spring and allergies.  Not sure if it's a full on cold or my allergies going haywire.  I'm not used to so much nature around me, lol.  I grew up in the city.

I don't feel that bad, really.  My throat is a little scratchy and feels thick.  My head is fuzzy but worst is the chest congestion which kind of feels like my sinuses draining.  So it could be either or.  Normally I only get a sore throat from a cold but who knows with new allergens around here.  My nose and sinuses don't feel that bad but I took some Zyrtec before bed to help me sleep (didn't want to wake up so stuffed up I couldn't breathe and was miserable).

So...in conclusion: 4 stories finished or started last night.  Feeling icky.  Went to bed at 3am.  Have a house to clean and typing to do and have to get my son to do his homework (that's he's had since the end of March...it's spring break this week).  Carry on.

Oh, dear. I hope you feel better soon, and that it isn't anything that Jack can catch. There's nothing more miserable than a little one with a really stuffy nose, unless it's the pursuing mother with the tissue. Those tiny little noses ain't got enough storage space!

I've finally caught my eight year old's cold. Usually I don't, or I just kind of skim the edge of whatever's going around, but this time clearly some virus is intent on scouring out the lining of my lungs and letting me wait for a new one to grow in. *cough, cough, haaaaaack* This too will pass, but it does make me a bit draggy.

With all that's going on in your life, I'm really amazed that you got such a spate of writing in! I'm kinda spinning my wheels just now. I'm very hopeful that getting the need to do the taxes off my back will help, though. I'm free! Freeeeeeeee!!!!

Being sick sucks. It's not even the flu or anything. Just my sinuses all haywire and I feel so run down. I just want to sit around. Last night I was absolutely FREEZING. Ugh.

The day I wrote that post I ended up passing out around 6pm after dinner (which was hotdogs and mac & cheese because I didn't feel like cooking). I slept until 1am on Sunday then woke up realizing I hadn't peed since like 4pm which isn't a good thing since I had been drinking all through dinner and before I fell asleep. I didn't even have to pee which is odd in itself. So I forced myself to get up and get something to drink which woke the baby up who was sleeping on the living room floor with the other kids.

Had to change him (and his clothes because his diaper leaked) then took some more meds and put him to bed. Then I wrote a few pages but I couldn't lean over the paper without my nose running and my pen wouldn't write with the paper elevated so I gave up, lol. I read until like 3:30am and went back to sleep and didn't get up until 8:30am. I was out of it all day yesterday.

I did get a little more writing done last night but I got too tired at like 11pm and gave up then read until midnight and went to sleep. The kids are back to school today and I really need to clean up the house but my nose is stuffed up so I can't breathe and running at the same time and I'm out of my allergy pills. I don't have a car so I can't get more...it's a 2 mile walk round trip and I'm not up to that right now. Ugh.

hope you feel better soon.
