So the other day I made a database to keep track of all the fanfic I've written.  I entered all the ones I've finished and those in progress.  At least the ones I have documented because I'm sure I have snippets of stories that never got to be more than a few paragraphs stashed somewhere.

earliest written: May 2005 (It Was Only a Matter of Time)
latest written: May 2010 (Mr. Fix-it)

longest to finish: not sure (my records are sketchy)
longest still unfinished: 5 1/2 years (Homecoming, part II)

shortest to finish: many
last one started but unfinished: 16 days (Russ/Clare angst/drama)

most stories written in one day: 10

Yes, yes I have. What's really sad is there's a huge nap in writing between the winter/spring of 2008 and fall of 2010. I didn't write anything. Then I started writing SG-1 fic in November last year and it just took off. Since then I've wrote so many.

I have some nasty gaps, thanks to various reasons, so I know how that goes. Oh do I love the times when things just take off though!

Yeah, I can't write when I get depressed. I can't do much of anything.

I'm shocked at how much I've written since December (Christmas actually). I guess it's a testament at the improvement of my mood the last half year.

Is this a real database or just a list you made up? :)

LOL, I just ask cause wasn't sure if you manually looked up the earliest written, longest to finish, etc or some program gave the info.

I made a database in MS Works (because I have it on the computer and I know how to work it). Then I just sorted the info so I could easily see the shortest/longest, earliest/latest, etc. Plus I can picture most of them in my head.

I spent most of the other day making the database to have all the info I wanted in it.

My fic database is on Q&A 4.0 for DOS. *takes a bow*
