Daniel/Vala shippers (plus loss of internet)

So here's the deal.  Our cable/internet bill is due on the 13th.  Somehow we missed the bills from April and May (although I could have sworn we paid in April).  So we owe like $500 (including June's payment).  Ugh.  There is no way we can pay that.  In fact we only have like $200 in our account to last us until the 20th (payday) and my husband has to be able to gas up the truck to get to and from work, the baby needs diapers and wipes, we need food.  You get the idea.  Cable/internet is at the bottom of the list.

So we'll pay half on the 20th and then another half on July 5th and probably another half on July 20... wait, I think we ended up with an extra half.  Anyway it's going to probably be another month before I'm online again which really, really sucks.  I don't know what I'll do without internet or TV.  I'll try and update people on twitter/facebook.  If you really want to keep in touch you can PM for my email.  

Unfortunately I don't have a smartphone so I have no internet on it and can't check LJ or twitter or anything.  My husband has a smartphone.  But because we have T-mobile we don't get coverage in our house so the only way I can get online is if I use my husband's phone when we are away from home.  Sigh.  I know, it's crazy.

Okay, now that all that is explained on to the Daniel/Vala stuff.  On one of my Daniel/Vala stories a discussion started and ideas thrown out and so now I'm asking for Daniel/Vala story ideas and/or prompts.  Because, frankly, I don't know what to write for them.  I can think of a million Jack/Sam storylines and I love to watch Daniel and Vala bicker and stuff on the show but I don't really know how to write them.

So for you Daniel/Vala shippers out there what do you like to read?  Any story ideas you'd like?  Prompts in general?

I can't guarantee I'll use any or even write a Daniel/Vala story (I have like a million challenges/assignments to finish while on computer hiatus) but I'd like to have some ideas.  Who knows I may get inspired.  Or I might get bored and glance down at my list of prompts and something will jump out at me.  I've been writing from prompts a lot lately and I think I'm getting pretty good at it (I used to HATE it).

So hit me with ideas/prompts!

You could try what I did for my first plotty Daniel/Vala fic -- I plunked them into an almost identical situation I'd already given Sam/Jack, and watched how they reacted and handled it in an entirely different manner, and called it a sequel. (Xanadu and Return to Xanadu.)

(Although Vala fits so naturally in my head that I might possibly have actually learned more about Sam from the experience. Of the four characters involved in those two pairings, she'll always be the one I have the most trouble writing.)

Daniel/Vala.. hm. You could save a bunch of D/V fic before your internet is cut off, and read those for some ideas of what is already out there maybe? *shrug*
