It was mostly junior high. I was picked on before that but it wasn't super cruel. Junior high was a real eye opener.
It was nice to get to college and not worry about that crap any more. Well, other than my roommates beyond fabulous asshats sophomore year forcing me to move out of the dorms. They forbid me from using the bathroom, stole my things, threw my clothes away, scratched up my CDs, destroyed my mini fridge and messed up my computer. They also refused to pay their portion of the cable bill and then were pissed when I canceled the cable (hell if I was paying for them to watch when I wasn't allowed to even be in the room--any time I was in there trying to do homework they'd bitch and whine I was making noise or getting in their way).
I took showers and napped in my boyfriend's room, dressed, brushed my teeth and stuff like that in the co-ed bathrooms in the basement. And slept many nights in the rec room in the basement because the tension was so high in our room I couldn't stand to be in it. I have never met such vicious girls as those three. Luckily it only lasted from the end of August to the beginning of November. Then I got my own little efficiency apartment. I didn't even care that I had to sleep on the floor for over a month until my mom brought my bed over. It was just nice to have my own space. I had to move everything but the TV, fridge and cabinet I had from my dorm to the apartment (several blocks away) on foot. Just me and my boyfriend carrying boxes and things because neither of us had cars.
