After my vent yesterday and my husband's constant teasing about what I do all day (like he does anything when he's home besides keep the couch warm and the xbox in use).
This is what I, a SAHM to 5, did today:
So, yeah, us stay at home moms just don't do anything all day. Add in listening to the kids fight constantly, my 4yo wanting attention as soon as the baby is napping because she's bored, the baby wanting to be held every night between 8 and 10pm, etc... At some point during the day I managed to get dressed and have lunch (all I've eaten today), check my email a few times, play around on the computer a bit and watch a Next Generation marathon (sort of, I keep missing big chunks while I'm away from the TV).
Once I get everything done for the night I'll spend an hour or so writing and, hopefully, read for an hour. Tomorrow I have to clean both bathrooms and maybe the fridge (really needs it but I've been avoiding it, ugh).
This is what I, a SAHM to 5, did today:
- got to sleep in until 10am (a perk of having a husband that works nights...until the end of this week then he's on mornings)
- emptied the dishwasher
- filled dishwasher with dirty dishes
- wiped down the counters
- cleaned the stovetop
- scrubbed out slow cooker pot
- cleaned kitchen sink
- rinsed out recycling
- took recycling out to the garage
- picked up all the DVDs that Jack pulled off the shelves
- picked up Jack's toys
- took Jack's dirty things from the living room to laundry room
- vacuumed both living/family rooms
- vacuumed hall, dining room and kitchen (was easier than sweeping since the vacuum was already out)
- mopped hall, dining room and kitchen
- made my bed
- took the trash from my bathroom out
- did 3 loads of laundry
- cleaned out the linen closet and put stuff away
- put a plastic mattress cover on 8yo's mattress and put clean sheet on it (she's a bed wetter)
- made 3 bottles for the baby
- changed the baby's diaper
- got 8yo to do her homework
