So, I'm writing this SG-1 fic that has Jack as a Tok'ra host. I'm wondering what would be the best way to portray the inner speech?
I'm still on the first draft and it's in my notebook but I'm trying to decide how it will look in print. There are also flashbacks that necessitate the use of italics.
Or should I save the italics for the internal conversations. Because There's Jack talking to other people and then there's Jack having conversations in his head with his symbiote.
Any suggestions? How would you do it if you were writing a story from the POV of a person that has another consciousness in their head but still interacts with people around him. Also with flashbacks and dream sequences.
This is turning into a much more complicated story than I first intended to write.
