So, remember last week or sometime I mentioned I was going through all my old SG-1 fic and feeling like rewriting some of it. Well I haven't.

What I did do was write a completely new fic. Hold on, I haven't published it yet because I wanted to write a sequel and have it ready. Well, that sequel took on a life of it's own.

So  how do my writing sprees work now?

Take one part bipolar writer,
whip into a manic frenzy,
add 8 cans of caffeine
divide by zero hours of sleep.

Bake for 26 hours.

What do you get?
A 43,400 word SG-1 novel that went way off the rails somewhere and then founds it way back and then turned into really bad spelling at the end.

Breakdown:
# of word wrote in 24 hours (5:30pm-5:30pm): 39,500
# of words total in story: 43,424
# of sodas drank: 8
# of times the kids interrupted me: too many to count
# of times I ate: 2? 3? There was food? I think someone put something in front of me and I might have eaten some of it.
# of hours I've slept: 0 (I've been up for 33 hours now)
# of absolutely manic moments: dozens
# of hours I plan to sleep tonight: all of them
amount of homework I have to do now because I spent the last two days writing: a lot

I remember reading one once where she had Jack's baby so, being Jack, he just has to go back and live with her. It was all Sam/Jack UST angst.

I've started to interested in writing some of the lesser characters. I really like Sara. And I recently read some clone Jack stories that got me thinking what really happened to that guy. They just dropped him off and forgot about him when was Jack, just in a younger body.

I'm writing one where he's visiting Charlie's grave and runs into Sara who instantly realizes it's Jack even though he looks like he's 19.

I have another one I was working on the plot to which is a future kid!fic where Jack and Sam have kids (I was using once I made up for another story) and when they are like 10 and 13 Earth is finally attacked and their parents die defending the SGC (they think). Jack taught them that if anything bad every happened and they weren't around to head for the cabin in Minnesota. But clone!Jack is already there. He's like in his 30s (visually) by then and just kind of takes the kids in. There's a whole lot of preteen angst over accepting the new Jack as his father or if he should or whatever. It' still being plotted.

I try not to right Pete as a complete jerk. Sam used him and he didn't deserve that. But I can't guarantee I will never explore that possibility. Just like as a die hard Sam/Jack shipper I'm surprised I started plotting a story that revolved around Jack raising their son alone because Sam walked out on them to pursue her career (I think, haven't worked the kinks out yet--still have to get it to where it's not totally OOC).

I think what I liked about writing Jack with the OFC was that he didn't have to act a certain way like with Sam with all the regulations. He was free to do what he wanted, although mixing business with pleasure is just as bad as cross the frat regs in Jack's case (the whole thing just explodes in his lap pretty much). And that sounded a lot more kinky than I meant it to, lol.

oh JEEZ that UST angst without a happy ending? I don't think I could make it through that.

Sara O'Neill fascinates me because she & Sam look very similar, and Sara LIKES TO FIX CARS. Jack seems to gravitate toward a certain type!

The actor who played MiniJack did such an awesome job, I wish they'd had a sequel episode. Do finish your story about him!

Pete wasn't a complete jerk, but he also wasn't right for Sam. So stories where he's a nice guy who's not *ultimately* compatible with Sam make much more sense, and require a nuanced & mature touch to write instead of cartoonish melodrama where he's an evil villain.

The whole UST with no happy ending is basically how my first story is, that's why I wanted to have a sequel written before I posted it. Because, I personally don't have a problem with those, but usually when I post them people are like "OH NOAS!!!!! the FEELS!!!" and they beg me to write a sequel to fix it, lol.

OMG, that kid that played mini Jack was so freaking awesome. He has all the mannerisms down to a T. There was some point in that episodes that I forgot that it was a 15yo kid playing the part. It just felt like "Jack".

I've read some fics where they make that comparison between Sara and Sam.

That's how I see Pete. Sam used him knowing she could never love him like he loved her. I always felt bad for Pete. She totally broke his heart after leading him on. Pete was a nice enough guy, although a little suspicious with the background check, but still... over all a sweet guy.
