Day 9 of the [community profile] snowflake_challenge is to do a "Fandom Wrap Up" of sorts and categorize your involvement in fandom. Welp, this is going to be a tough one for me. I came back to livejournal a few months ago with a post on how I don't know how to fandom anymore. I think I've gotten too old, especially for the fandoms I want to be involved with.

So, mostly I keep to myself and dream about how things were back in the heyday of livejournal fandom spaces. On top of that, because of my Chronic Fatigue, I didn't really do any writing or reading in any fandom and only posted four drabbles at the end of last year (the only thing I posted all year). I've just been out of fandom for too long at this point to jump back in. The current climate and culture of the fandoms I'm interested in is a definite turn off as well (why are they all so toxic now?).

That being said, I guess I'll try to answer the survey as best I can...

What are your top five fandoms for 2021 based on the amount of time you interacted with them?
(I'll list fandoms I've looked into in the order I came to them)
1. Avatar the Last Airbender
2. Promised Neverland
3. Camp Cretaceous
4. Ouran High School Host Club
5. Fruits Basket

What are your top five fandom spaces in terms of time spent? (AO3, Twitter, Tumblr, Reddit, Dreamwidth, and others)
1. tumblr
2. tumblr
3. tumblr
4. tumblr
5. pinterest

Why are all my fandoms on tumblr? Ugh.

What are the top five ways you interacted in these fandoms? (Reading fanfic, writing, commenting, watching videos, chatting with friends, making art, or anything else you can think of).
1. reading fanfic
2. giving likes and kudos
3. occasional reblog or comment

That's about it for participation in fandom. Like I said, I mostly keep to myself because the spaces are full of toxic people.

What are the top five things you did to contribute to fandom in terms of time? Did you write? Comment? Send positive energy into the universe? Create art?
I didn't do anything to contribute to fandom last year. I mean, I brainstormed a lot of ideas, but never wrote anything. And I only posted 4 drabbles to my LJ (and maybe tumblr, I can't remember). I just disconnected from fandom because of the toxic culture I found in the fandoms I was interested in. I'm having a hard time finding my way back now.

What things did you create that took the most time?
1. definitely my Ouran Epic Marriage AU wiki, but that's only for me to see. I did spend many months working on it in the hopes of one day letting it out in the world, but I doubt I ever do

I didn't really create anything else. I started a couple Avatar stories and brainstormed/outlined dozens of ideas for different fandoms, but I never wrote anything and definitely didn't share any of it.

Hopefully, 2022 is a little better. I've tried to make accessible goals for my disability and be more realistic with what I can and can't do. I still don't feel comfortable in any of the fandoms I'm interested in. I'm not sure I ever will. And the fandoms I've participated in before are either dying, gone, or I've completely lost interest. I'm a fandom dinosaur with no home right now. I'm just kind of floundering around, looking for a place to set up camp. I don't know if I'll ever find that place, though. Not with the current climate in fandom I've experienced.
