I wrote these two stories back to back from prompts for my weekly drabble challenge at [info]writerverse.  These two go together and are one of the plotlines I have for Sarah and Tucker.  One of the many I can't decide between, lol.

Secrets sometimes are too much to keep, especially the kind that change your entire life. And the lives of others.
---------
It's going to kill her—the weight of it on her chest is just too much. It presses down, forcing the air form her lungs, squeezing until she feels the bile rise.

Sarah grabs the sides of the toilet as another wave of heaving overtakes her. A few moments—the kind that feel like an eternity—later she sinks back to the cold tile floor and wipes her mouth with the back of her hand. Tears slide down her face, ignored. She isn't entirely sure why she's crying. Is it because she's throwing up? Because of the weight slowly crushing her?

Or is it that little pink line on the pregnancy test?

The thought coils her stomach into a tight knot as more tears erupt. What the hell is she going to do with a baby? She can barely take care of herself. She wraps her arms around her middle as she curls into a ball on the floor. The tears slip over her face, plopping into her hair, soaking the ugly gray bath mat. She doesn't bother to wipe them away. More will come.

Her mind reels with the news, spinning all the scenarios until she can't think straight and it all comes back to a solid panic building in her chest. Her heart starts racing as another thought pops into her head.

How was she ever going to tell Tucker?

Sarah isn't sure of much in her life any more but she knows without a doubt that this—this event, this moment—isn't supposed to be this way.

This isn't how things are supposed to go. Sarah isn't sure of much in her life any more but she knows without a doubt that this—this event, this moment—isn't supposed to be this way.

She lies in the bed staring at the ceiling. Refusing to blink until her eyes burn and beg for relief. Then the tears spill from the corner of her eyes, down her cheeks to soak the sterile, white pillowcase.

This isn't right. The words are on a loop in her mind. Along with the last thing the doctor had said: "I'm so, sorry, Sarah, but you lost the baby. There was nothing we could do."

She doesn't remember. She fell asleep in the car on the way home from the concert. And woke up in the emergency room. Minus one baby.

She forces the bile down and takes long shattering breaths as the tears continue unabated. This isn't how it's supposed to be.
