ultrasound
19 Jan 2006 12:25 amWell, finally I have an appointment to have my ultrasound done. You know the routine 20 week one. Except I'm 28 weeks now. I'm mental and can't use a phone (don't ask) and I just now got dh to call and make me an appt. I was supposed to have it done before Thanksgiving.
I'm just plain crazy. It is early Friday. He has to call back tomorrow (or actually later today--Thursday) to get the address and then we are going to drive over there so I can see how to get there. He won't be able to come with me because someone has to get Meagan on the bus at 11:30. The appt is at 10 in another town. I doubt we would make it back in time for her to get to school. So...
I'm not real excited. It all seems so routine to me after 3 others. I was excited with Meagan. It was new and interesting. With Owen I had one at 22 weeks and another at 38 weeks to check his size and those were cool. With Brenna I only had one at 14 weeks and it was blah. Dh didn't make it to that one. (Meagan was at Owen's--she was about a year old for the last one).
It should be interesting to see the baby moving all over. This kid is never still. He/she must be completely tangled in the umbilical cord by now, lol. Then again Owen moved around a lot, too (maybe it's a boy). He was moving up until the day he was born. Not just kicks--really moving, rolling and stuff. And he was over 9lbs at birth. I have no clue how he had room to move. All 21" of him.
Maybe I would be more excited if we were finding out the sex, but we are not. We didn't do it with any of the others. I kind of want to, just to quell the arguments between the kids. They are always fighting over whether it is a boy or girl. But I won't find out unless it is blatently obvious it is a boy or something.
Just hope all goes well on Friday. I'll be sure to post back, hopefully with a good pic.
