I saw a bunch of people doing this.  It took me all day to finish this post.  I swear I started around 10am or something and now it's after 6pm and I just finished.  Writing it all out...WOW, I still can't believe how many stories I finished this year.  Even though I've barely written anything the last couple of months I'm confident that once my meds are kicking in I'll get some energy back and be able to concentrate on writing again.

Questions:

Review of goals for 2011: I didn't have any goals for this year, I just wanted to write more

Did I meet that goal? I would say so.

My favorite story this year (of my own): I don't think I could pick just one.

My best story this year: Man in the Box It's so completely different than my usual stories and very intense.

Story most under-appreciated by the universe, in my opinion: To Carry On--people don't like it when you kill off Sam but I thought the story was super emotional.

Most fun story: Don't Drink the Wine

Sexiest story: I'm not really sure.

Hardest to write: Ashes of Tulsa--I never thought I was going to get that done and never thought it would be so hard to write a good apocalypse story.

What pairing/genre/fandom did you write that you would never have predicted in January 2011? Just about everything.  I didn't think I'd write much of anything this year and discovered SG-1 and tried all sorts of different styles and pairings.

Looking back, did you write more fic than you thought you would this year, less, or about what you'd predicted? I wrote more this past year than I have the whole rest of my life put together.  I never would have thought I'd finish 44 stories in one year for like 120k words.

Did you take any writing risks this year? Definitely.  Man in the Box was completely different for me--1st person and present tense.  I almost never write in either but to combine them...I had never done that before.

Do you have any goals for the New Year? My main goal is to finish up at least one of those stories on my WIP list each month (or, at least a large portion of a longer story).  I also signed up for getyourwordsout so I want to hit at least 200k words next year.  I would have done it this year except I skipped NaNo.
