jennickels: (a: original fic)
I wrote these two stories back to back from prompts for my weekly drabble challenge at [info]writerverse.  These two go together and are one of the plotlines I have for Sarah and Tucker.  One of the many I can't decide between, lol.

Keeping Secrets
by jennickels (aka Jen Connelly)
original
Sarah
232 words
rating: PG
WARNINGS:

Secrets sometimes are too much to keep, especially the kind that change your entire life. And the lives of others.
---------
It's going to kill her—the weight of it on her chest is just too much. It presses down, forcing the air form her lungs, squeezing until she feels the bile rise.

Not Supposed to Be
by jennickels (aka Jen Connelly)
original
Sarah
159 words
rating: PG-13
WARNINGS: talk of miscarriage

Sarah isn't sure of much in her life any more but she knows without a doubt that this—this event, this moment—isn't supposed to be this way.
----------
This isn't how things are supposed to go. Sarah isn't sure of much in her life any more but she knows without a doubt that this—this event, this moment—isn't supposed to be this way.

Another Sarah story.  This one takes place years after Not Supposed To Be.  Another [info]writerverse drabble entry for the prompt: like in the movies.

Damn Hollywood
by jennickels (aka Jen Connelly)
original
Sarah
177 words
rating: PG-13
WARNINGS: reference to domestic abuse

Sarah has chosen her life but it's nothing like she remembers from the movies of her childhood. It's a hard lesson to learn.
-----------------
Sarah blames Hollywood for her current predicament. They're the ones that set her up for this eventual downfall. Her failure. All those movies selling the "American Dream." Whatever that is. Two-point-three kids? A dog? White picket fence in the suburbs? Who knows any more.

Okay, my last original fic to post today.  I wrote these last week but haven't had time to type them up or post them (hence why I extended the drabble challenge).  This one takes place when Sarah and Tucker are kids.  Tucker really was a jerk.  I swear he changes later on.  The prompt was sticks and stones at [info]writerverse.

Break My Bones
by jennickels (aka Jen Connelly)
original
Sarah/Tucker
488 words
rating: PG-13
WARNINGS:

Sticks and stones may break your bones but names will never hurt you...unless you let them. Sarah has to deal with Tucker and his idiot friends.
------------
Sarah drowns out the words. She tells herself they hold no meaning—no power—unless she gives it to them. That's what her Gram always says. She's not sure she entirely believes that as she grits her teeth against the onslaught.

Okay, something different from me.  I don't usually post WIP.  I stopped doing that completely years ago and removed all my unfinished stories from ff.net.  BUT... I started this for another writerverse prompt (shimmer) and it kind of just took off.  Actually it sort of turned into a story I had thought of months ago.  But it's a much bigger story to tell.  Since I need to post this for points I'm going to leave it as "unfinished" or open or whatever you want to think of it.  I'll try to post some more parts as I think of them.  Just a warning, don't read if you don't like WIP.

Some Things Can't Be Taken Back
by jennickels (aka Jen Connelly)
Stargate SG-1
Jack/Sam
586 words
rating: PG
WARNINGS:

The one in which Jack's said something stupid, Sam's mad and the world is falling down around them. Just another mission gone to hell.

don't own... wish I did, but I don't. No infringement intended.

Carter's eyes shimmered with a fierceness Jack hadn't seen in awhile. Or ever directed at him. He definitely went too far this time. But dammit—she'd been so out of it after a string of failed missions. He had to do something to get her back on track, to light a fire in her. This was Sam Carter. It was her job to save the world. A little pressure would do her good, get her motivated. Crack down, he'd thought, and she'd rise out of her funk. Or so he had thought.

The Mystery of Women
by jennickels (aka Jen Connelly)
original
Sarah/Tucker
191 words
rating: PG
WARNINGS:

Companion piece to With Or Without You. Tucker tries to figure out exactly what Sarah wants. And what he wants.  Written for the prompt: mystery at [livejournal.com profile] writerverse.
--------
Women are a mystery to him—beings beyond comprehension. And at the top of that list is Sarah Logan. If he ever figures out exactly what she wants it'll be a miracle.
